car is 2.0 sport classic auto

car seems gutless more so when cold

have cleaned the kn fliter and re oiled a few weks ago no warning lights on dash

does start first time but seems to rev all over the place for a few seconds then settles ,no maf fitted also

been like this a few days now......funny it started doing this the day after i changed the rear diff oil cant be that though!
any ideas???????

 

i drive an auto(due to accident 3 yrs ago)..i wouldnt say its gutless..has the car full service history??..dont forget sports dont start making any power till 3k;...just give it a good service and taske from there...just on a side note, what mpg are u getting now?? on a run mine makes 30mpg..but ive had it down to 25mpg

 

have had the car a couple of months and the last few days have defo noticed a differance in how she is running/pulling away etc,so something isnt right

car has full history up to 50 000 miles but nothing since now on 100 000 last owner had it 5 yrs said it was serviced but never stamped book...urmmm ok ( car was cheap so was happy enough lol)
cam belt is to be done soon,i have oil and plugs to go in it

you cant feel it missfire or anything and no brakes sticking on anything

as for mpg still the same ...not very good lol

 

defo sounds like a full service and cambelt is needed asap..better to be safe than sorry..on kickdown mine fly's..but before 3000rpm they aint quick
