Hi all

Hope u all had a good christmas.

I parked the car up, 98uk turbo wagon in xmas eve. all was running fine and very happy.

Came to start it this evening and no good, just turning over, no firing. plenty of smell coming from the exhaust, fuel pump priming and clicking each time the ignition is turned on. i took a lead off and turned it over nad a very little spark, tried a few more leads and same, no fire works or spark works as id expect.

can a coil pack die that quick? i did a fault code test and came out as 53. fuel pump circuit but that seems fine.

any ideas?

Cheers

Rich

Feed to pump is nice and battery seems good, turns engine over no problem. one thing i have noticed is that the left indicator is on constant when ignition is turned on....

hi all, just an update, not had time to look at the car untill today, turned out the problem was a pretty serious short in the loom running close to the exahust manifold linkpipe and radiator. seems to have worked loose and melted.

Fixed it up for now but what is involved in changing this part of the loom?

Thanks

Rich
