Speak to these guys:

http://www.viperperformance.co.uk/

They should be able to do any shape pipe you require, plus an alloy reducer / joiner for joining two silcon pipes. :

What's the origin of that intake pipe..... it don't look too clever in those pictures. Looks like it's only 2-ply.

yes , your intake is missing the metal insert ring wich bridges between both pipes , as like you said its just floppy piece of silicone without it , it wants to be same diamiter as inner circ of silicone intake & about 3" wide ,,, try speaking to a local fabricator or machinist for cut offs of ally ,, then cut to required spec ,,, get knocking on dooors tomorrow , & bung them a tenner should get it sorted

It is according to the person I bought it from a lateral performance turbo intake Pipe .. It has the steel mesh inside, this I can vouch for as it feels solid
...

The pipe feels solid with steel rings inside it's def not gonna collapse, it's a good bit of kit just I'm missing something

Maybe I can speak to lateral performance to c if they have 1 spare, I did think of this but was worried it might get sucked through so was unsure,,,

Once I have the the ally ring do I want a silicone air intake pipe ? To bridge gap ??

The intake on mine was standard. A hard plastic black intake. And it was the exact size as the opening on the hardpipe I've given you. Then the silicon hose went over both and clipped on.
