idle problem

Default idle problem

Just noticed mainly with the boost gauge, it usuall sits on -0.8 when at idle but has started sittin higher at -0.2.... Why is this? Can't search on my phone, somehow it doesn't work :s

Hey,

This could be anything from a boost leak to a dirty idle control valve or even a fauly MAF.

Really best bet is to get it to a specialist and get it diagnostic checked.

Alternatively you can do a self diagnostic check by plugging the connecters together under the steering wheel to see which error code's (if any) are stored.

But yeah, when everything's working fine, it should idle between -0.6 and -0.8bar (as yours did).

Yea it always does, did this morning aswel. Was just at one point (around mid-day) it started idling strange. Was fine last night and fine this morning

In that case, I'd simply just monitor it for a couple of weeks.

Sometimes 'these things' happen - if there is a fault, it's bound to show up again at some point....
