hi all i have just got another turbo impreza but instead of jdm its uk spec 95/96 its got a 7d ecu in can i change it for say a z4 like my old import without any problems? apart from having to use 99 ron fuel aparently its been re-mapped not looked inside the ecu yet for chip/esl it boosts to about 12psi (with restrictor pill removed) which im pretty sure is standard for this ecu can anyone give me some advice

 

you can use the z4 ecu no problem but you will then get the 112mph limit. you will need to fit the restrictor pill as this will cause overboosting. z4 ecu worksfine with 97 ron or more.
