So i just bought a 96 v-limited and its only running on three cyliders at the mo. Have spark and the car is driving just down on power. Its boosting at .4 bar and cutting out at 4500 rpm. It all started when i installed a dump valve, there was a little oil in it and when i reved it up she then cut out, started it back up and it was running rough, so that led me to believe the oil got in and mucked up a sensor. Also when driving if i put full throttle on she splutters a bit and wen i let off a bit it seem ok only low on power but i take is because of the boost.

please any help whatsoever will be hugely appreciated...

 

Er, have a spark, have fuel, have compression???????

 

As above - you need to do a compression test to determine the 'internal health' of the engine first - makes fault finding a lot easier.

When you installed the dump valve did you put a bung in the return?
