Default How to set up EJ25 for just over 300 on 20G

As a stop gap I would like to get my new engine at about 320 of so bhp while I get it bedded in , and to save my standard box.

I was going to fit a TD05-20 for the upgrade , while the engine is out.

Has anyone done this process while running in ? I assume I need to drop the boost right back, (5PSI ?)

I will also need to replace my injectos , thinking of using 440cc and keep my eye out for some modded 440cc or when I take the car off the road for its gearbox upgrade get the 440cc modded for 550 or 600.

I expect the 20G will produce to much of power , even on low boost.

Anyone had experience ?

when i was running mine in i was running with no boost what so ever

The engine ha been mapped, so its sort of beded in, so was kina in mind to run it as a fast classic LOL until I change the box

classic box's are made of chocolate mate some even die at 320 i'd fit the 6 speed asap mines going in soon as i can find a linkage

20g will be laggy as ****, way too big for what you want, a 16g will break 300

my research says its a good selection for road use, when its set-up should make 1Bar at 2600RPM. Remember is a 2.5, and I will have Stiv4 Heads

on a 2.5 that will be close to 400 ftlb, gearbox go bye bye

a 20g is a 400bhp turbo on a 2.0 not sure on a 2.5 but i know there laggy that's why i went for a 18 at 1st but want a 20g now lol

Hence low boost for a bit, just woundering what to set it up @

Its a big turbo for what you want, try a 16G or a VF series turbo, much better

Just want to fit the turbo that will be in its final place, then when the time comes , change the box and remap to the end result.

why dont you wait till you do the box till you put the 20g on not a big job to fit

Party as if i cant find a good 20G outright I was going to use my good 16G and get it modded to 20G. Hate to have the car off the road, would pref to use it even if it was not finished.

20g on a 2.5 makes a wicked road car, felt like it was on boost at idle my old one ran 436/460 with 1.5bar mid range tailing to 1.4bar to redline

I am thinking adjustable actuator and low boost until the box is changed, need to keep torque down tho'

Had a 20g on my 2.5, ran 429 bhp on 1,45 bar, when I was running it at 370bhp it felt like it had no lag at all. Think the 20g is a perfect 400bhp turbo for a 2.5, don't cost the earth either
