Default whiteline arb

would a 20mm rear adjustable whiteline arb be any upgrade to the standard rear 20mm on a my98? can really see apart from the adjusting factor what benefit it would be and if not why do they even sell 20mm rears then?

I'm going to say "no" well apart from the adjustable droplink mounting positions. Were some of the WRXs' not 17mm or so? I'm sure the ARBs on my wagon looked less then 20mm... if the saloons were always 20mm then i guess Whiteline want a slice of the "OEM feel" pie

Just a word of warning, my white line ARB went very rusty after 3 years.

Think OEM ones are 19mm.

So 20mm ones are only 10% 'bigger', based on its cross-sectional area throughout its length.

WL 22mm ones on the other hand would offer 34% extra area -- so notably stiffer then OEM.

And yeah, they do rust. I bought used 22mm ones to fit to my STi 5.... The rear one was well rusty. But API, 'Smoothrited' it in black - much nicer looking lol.
