Post My99 turbo wagon brake upgrade

Hi all,

I have had my classic wagon now for about a month and i personally think that the brakes are naff!

I am thinking that the basic disc and pad upgrade would cost a few hundred so i might as well do the job properly.

I have found this upgrade on godspeed's website http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/~god...id_product=121

are there any other cheapish upgrades, i.e. newer sti brakes etc

Thanks

Hi
Yes the MY99 wagon has the 4 pots as standard , bare in mind the 335mm kit will not fit under the standard 16" wheels , you need at least 17" wheels
Cheers Ian

Yes as Ian said I do have 4 pots, I also have 17s.
Would these make a dramatic difference? And would it upset the balance as in do i need to uprate the rears?

Thanks

just fit a set of braided lines, decent pads & disks all round. also inspect the calipers they have a habit of seizing pistons giving crap brakes

Ill take a look at calipers first then as it really doesnt seem anywhere near enough braking oomph.
