Smile first scooby, first post.

Hi all,
This is my first post, I bought my first scoob a few weeks ago.

It's a my99 UK turbo wagon,

I don't think the car is running right as there is no real kick from the turbo its far too smooth, it moves well but seems to have no torque.

The car has a k&n cone filter, baileys dump valve and a big back box.

I have had two impreza owners in the car who both say it doesn't have enough power at all!

Any ideas I can try before spending cash on a garage.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Has it been remapped? With all those changes and still running the standard map the engine won't be too happy.

Take the dump valve off and put the standard re-circ valve on for a start.

And go back to the panel filter, fitting a decent one.
Cone filters are known to kill the MAF on 99 cars, plus NO-ONE should use a Bailey dump valve except as a paperweight.

The standard recirculating dump-valve is the one to go for.

Was told the bailey was a waste of time. They used to be good back in the day.

Maybe, but NO vta valve is good on a Scoob unless specifically mapped by a competent mapper.

The engine is set up for a recirculating type.
