Any 2.5s with Hybrid TD04 fitted please
As title really anyone running a Hybrid TD04 on a newage 2.5L, considering this option just wonderd if anyone had any experiences to share

Does the hybrid give enough advantages over the standard TD04 to be worth the hassle? If you're going to change the turbo a VF34 or VF35 might be a better bet, good for 340/330 respectively on the 2.5, the VF35 spools up a little quicker, not far short of the TD04 spool up. I'm loving the VF35 on mine, the spool is only 100rpm slower than the old TD04 though some of that is due to Harvey's ported and wrapped headers

I was going to put an Andy Forrest TD04 Hybrid on my 2.5 but didnt bother in the end for the reasons stated above. The 2.5 will spool a turbo quicker than a 2.0 so probably easier and cheaper to fit a VF43 / 48 , gives great spool and good steady figures too.

On a 2.5 litre with the right mods, a genuine 20Gs and properly mapped, there is no lag. That is the whole point. With half a litre more capacity any hint of lag is bannished. My 20g turbos are £850 with 12 mths warranty and represent exceptional value for money.
A very well placed Scooby in last years 30-130 was to the above spec and owners with this set up can give their individual observations. Do some research.
