Default Picked an sti 8 motor up :-) but a few Q's if you don't mind.

Right I picked myself up a sti motor from a UK 36k mile 2004 car.
Turns out it has a few little extras on it so was hoping you guys could answer a few question.
It has come with a cosworth baffle plate which is nice little bonus plus purple injectors, any idea what size these are?
Also included is a twin scroll sump, would the car have come with a twin scroll turbo as standard? Also is the twin scroll sump safe to use with a normal turbo?
Are the standard headgaskets MLS or fibre?
And lastly it doesn't have TGV's do uk STi's have them?
Thanks Ian.

Can't help with it all but all UK Sti's have no TGV's.

UK STi's are all single scroll so you may have issues if you use the twin scroll sump. Where did you get it ?

if its classic, you will need a classic oil modine as the twin scroll modine pipework will foul on the headers.

I've tried my classic headers and they fit fine with no catching so looks like it's got a standard cooler! Confused.com lol.
It is a complete engine with AVCS heads and inlet, was planning on putting my UK 98 turbo heads and inlet on the bottom end but considering changing the wiring/ECU to run the complete sti motor.

Getting the AVCS to work is a bit of a nuisance and not cheap.......I looked into it for my bug WRX and gave in. Not impossible though

The short motor should swap over though and sell on the AVCS heads ?

All later STI's have twin scroll sumps, regardless of being UK or JDM .

Thanks for all the replies :-)
The engine is in a kit car so am thinking of re doing the wiring using what's needed from an 04 sti.
