I have done this conversion 5x in the last 2 years, but all on 1994/95 cars.It is straight forward as you take the 3b ecu out and replace it with a Z4 or a 6K.You then change the td04 for a td05 and your away.
As your car is a version 4 you wont be able to bolt on a std td05 as your turbo is front entry going under the inlet manifold and a std td05 is top entry.
If your car is a 1998 then your 2S ecu can not be mapped,so you are probably better off getting a sti ecu off a V4 and a vf23/24 turbo which was the std item on a V4 sti iirc,& with some accompanying mods should see you pretty near to your target

Brilliant info bud thankyou I've been lookin at how hard it would be to fit 90degree tubby and I've been over and over it and other than rerouting a few obvious breathers etc I can see no reason to not fit one and will keep eye open for sti v4 ecu thanks again

You need a 6S ecu that will plug straight into your car, then the turbo
