OBDII console reset
Ive got an my08 sti and i want to reset the ECU, i cant use learning view, i dont think its 64 bit compatible and i cant be bothered setting up a 32bit vm just to try it out, but ive got palmer performance elm software which has a OBDII console, to send commands to the ECU, does anyone know what the command is to reset the ECU is? I though about just sending some random guesses to the ecu but decided against it!!!
Or is there another piece of software that i could try? Ive tried ecuExplorer but that goes nowhere, im using some fleabay special elm from the deapest darkest recesses of china, with some driver i found in the back of beyond, any help would be appreciated.
cheers

Ive been reading the ELM327 documentation, here http://www.elmelectronics.com/DSheets/ELM327DS.pdf
It implies that resetting the mil light resets the ECU, does anyone else know if thats the case, i assumed it wasnt, but it says something along the lines of,
Resetting the MIL lights may cause your engine to run poorly as it recalibrates itself, which implies an ECU reset?
I havent any mil lights on but i can send the command anyway.

Thats what i thought, just the document implied differently.
The international standards paper with the full documentation of all the commands is available but its $60 so i wont be doing that!

From the comm log in learning view i found that it tries to send the command
80 10 F0 05 B8 00 00 60 40 DD
when you hit the reset ecu button(i cant connect learning view for some reason otherwise id use it)
i tried sending this command to the car, which made a quite noise somewhere inside, have i reset it? do the MPG and trip clocks reset after an ecu reset?
cheers
