Default panel filters

Hi guys just after a little info on panel filters, I was looking on scoobyworld and there is a “do luck” filter on there that says u get a proven 12.9 bhp from it, now is it really possile to get that much from a panel filter?

Regards scottie

My "new" (well 1800 miles on the clock ) Spec C back in 2004 made a 12bhp increase with a decent panel filter, it had a good filtration rate (unlike the do luck nasty panel filter that lets all sorts of crap into your engine), so it is possible, then again JDM cars are known to be a little restricted with the standard filter (mine was a proper STI panel filter, not cheap).
I also wouldnt put a "do luck" filter in any car I own, I would go for something that filters

Just swapping my do-luck panel filter for a K&N today actually. Not been in there long at all but on the side of caution I would rather go for something that actually filters rather than damage my engine!

Do-Luck did get highest bhp increase in back to back tests with 12.9bhp increase over standard, but there will be little to nothing in it with green, K&N, STI, cosworth etc.
