cannot get my engine out

Default cannot get my engine out

hi everyone I have a 1997 type r and I am trying to get my engine out to rebuild, I have removed most things like intercooler turbo pipes wiring etc removed all the bolts from the gearbox and engine mounts and for the love of god it still will not come out it moves around 2 inch but no further has anyone had this problem

on the passenger side of the gearbox near the starter there is a round plug with a hallen key hole, remove this and then thread a 6mm bolt into the hole and pull the fork pivot out and it will separate the engine from the box

you might want to pull the clutch arm up out of the thrust bearing aswell after you taken out the fork pivot

After you have removed said Allen key bolt (10mm iirc, usually pretty tight too), you need a threaded bar to screw into the arm in order to pull out. For best results, use the battery clamp rod

Then you have to pull engine away from gearbox before lifting too much as you have studs in the bottom and dowells in the sides

Battery clamp rod works for me too

Cam cover bolt for me. And a long bar. That bung worries me evertime.
