Speak with API after your engine has gone pop and decide if it was any good or not

Really you need to find out what is causing your issues to start with, do you have an induction kit or oiled filter fitted? Or what mods are on the car?
Did you replace your last MAF with a new or second hand one?

I've been running one of these for years now, got me 789bhp on my n/a sport. Works a treat with my electric turbo and fake dump valve. Next on my list is this resistor thingey that guarantees 30bhp. but seriously don't touch crap like that. They are the quickest way to kill your car

I've been through 7 mafs on mine, in 5 years of ownership.
Going the simtek route. Mine is on standard air box and a hks hybrid filter so no oil.
I have a few mods. But these mafs are chocolate on that year.
There is another you can get but speak to a mapper as it'll need mapping to suit

Are you using a panel filter or an induction kit ,if it is the latter then they will eat mafs. I have never had a maf fail on my 99 uk car or my present MY00 car in 3 years . If you are going to buy something off ebay buy genuine items like this :

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300604187324

Which after a clean up of the mesh was perfect and is currently fitted on my car ,whilst my perfectly good/nearly new maf is used as a spare should i ever have one fail.

Agreed Tony, If it looks too good to be true it probably is.

All that extra Hp for 7.99 + postage WOW!, l'll buy a box load.

Seriously what a pile of horsesh*t and crap how do these people manage to sell this stuff? l guess many don't ask first.
