Default where to buy coil packs?

hi guys,

been looking on google, and can't find a website that sells brand new coil packs for newage (blobeye) impreza's. ebays sells second hand ones, but looking for a place that sells new ones if poss, that isn't a rip off (e.g. main dealer).

thanks

already have a newage car mate! 2004 WR1. had a little read of someone who did a report on converting classics to newage coil packs. I am surprised more people with classics ain't doing it, especially if they are running bigger power

what is wrong with the ones you already have as there is very rarely anything goes wrong with the newage coils.?

well, the car isn't really running right at the mo. between 5-6000rpm, under full throttle, it kind of misfires. the CEL has never come on though. from a bit of online self diagnosis, I figure it is either spark plugs, coil packs, or maybe a sensor going wrong somewhere (possibly the knock sensor). so I was just going to replace the lot (as I am fairly handy with a spanner).

its been in for diagnostics before, which showed the neutral position switch was knackered. this was replaced, but it still misfired intermittently, but not very often. now it is getting worse and worse, and I am just thinking of replacing all the parts that could be wrong, just to get it sorted.

yeah plugs was going to be my first job, then see what that does. looking at NGK iridium plugs. out of interest, what heat rating do you reckon I should go for? and also, how do you know they should be gapped at .65? is that just standard for impreza's?

Go for 7's and .65 is the prefered gap for a modded car. Anything bigger can cause misfire issues
