Default Fuel Pump connected to tracker??

Hi

I currently have fitted to the car a Walbro fuel pump which looking on different websites needs an electrical supply to it to operate.

I also have bought a tracker which allows you to track via iphone and also can disable the car (instructions say use oil pump - but think big no no - as no oil would damage engine)

But could I use the relay which it uses to cut the electrical supply to the fuel pump, and thus the engine would stop as no fuel ?
Eg just have fuel starvation ??

If so has anybody got the instructions for fitting a Walbro fuel pump as although im good at electrics, my mechanical knowledge is limited !!

A walbro uses the standard car loom already fitted, is it a power you need to cut? Or an earth? The ecu cuts the earth in order to immobilise the car if a theft is detected.

If someone want to steal your car, an iPhone app is not going to stop them. You may as well fit a toggle switch to the pump or ignition feed to ecu.

The oil pump in mechanically driven so I expect it's a typo and should read fuel pump. I'd fit it to the live feed, at least you can disable the car if it's being driven away!

Yeah thats the idea, it connects to a relay which you can use to trip and disable the car. So as long as get a signal be easy to disable.

An app might not deter then (just like a normal tracker won't) by if someone goes to nick my car I will make it as difficult as possible

Won't do much if it's on the back of a lorry tho!

Fair play making it difficult! Just out of interest is it supported by any insurers?

No as not fitted by an approved fitter so no discount, it's more used as an info tool for me, eg if I leave it at a garage I can see if they abuse it etc but on the side I thought about connecting the relay just for me
