Default decatting the bug

Hello, I thinking about de-catting my bug eye WRX, could someone tell me what is involved? is there just one cat that needs replacing ? sorry i'm a novice to stuff like this? also if i got a decat would it fit on my existing exhaust system?

any help would be most appricated

Cat in the up pipe from manifold to turbo cat in the down pipe and a cat underneath where most cats sit. 3 in total but you can remove the down and back cat with one replacement pipe and you WILL need a remap straight away

Hello mate, there are 3 cats on your bug, one in the center pipe, one in down-pipe and one in the up-pipe.

Swapping in a de-cat center pipe is easy, the down-pipe and up-pipe are bigger jobs. Use the search on here, there is loads of info on it..

up pipe is the most restrictive i believe so worth the hassle and as above remap a definate
