Default Injector sizes and mapping

Hey guys,

I'm busy gathering the last parts for my new engine setup, which is due to get mapped at the end of the month.

My car is a V4 STi, and I am aiming for ~400bhp.

I have been advised to use 550cc injectors, the problem is getting hold of some for a decent enough price. Now, I have the option of getting some 750cc injectors for a good price, or 850cc injectors for an absolute steal.

The question is, if I was to use the larger injectors, what complications could I face once it came to mapping the car? I do plan on upgrading to a SimTek ECU in the future, but for now, it will be mapped on an Apexi Power FC.

If it helps, the mods I will have are as follows:

3" Turbo back exhaust with no cats
Induction Kit
RCM400 Turbo
Fuelab 3port Fuel pressure regulator
RCM Fuel Pump
Ported headers

I know I should also be using a FMIC if I want to run 400bhp but I haven't got my hands on a decent one yet, so could be mapped down a little until then.

Anyway, back on topic, any advice or problems with my injector scenario? Obviously my car runs 440cc's as standard which will max out at circa 330bhp if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks guys,

David
