will a classic sti downpipe fit a newage wrx?

Classic downpipe is shorter than a Newage downpipe if I am right

 

I think its the other way round. i bought a downpipe off someone on here yesterday, fitted it today and its about 2" to short and the back box is touching the rear roll bar because of how much i have had to pull the exhaust to fit the down pipe. It was supposed to be for a classic but think i was conned
