I have a hawk sti, and for sum reason, the heaters have stopped blowing out hot air, now its just cold! Car runs perfectly, no other faults. Anyone any ideas and is it an easy fix?

Probley worth checking where the water has gone! Must have gone somewhere!
Need to make sure all the air is bled out or the level will drop again.
Get it checked out mate or you could end up with a big bill!

Ok guys, cheers for the advice. Do scoobys have heater control valves in them? My fiesta zs had one go, 70 quid later, it was fixed and I had hot air again. Same with scoobs?

The sniff test uses a chemical reaction to detect the presence of exhaust gasses in the coolant, you won't be able to smell it with your nose lol. If your not mechanically minded find someone from here who is that's got a spare half hour or get her to a garage, again get some recommendations from here.

Ok, quick update on this guys.
Unfortunately, due to my job, I don't have access to the car much of the time, however, I do now. Firstly, the car is going into Xtreme scoobies this weekend as its the earliest I can get it there. Anyhow, heres the story.
Got back today, Opened the expansion tank (which was pretty much empty), turned the engine on, held the revs at 1,500rpm with heaters on full blast, started filling it up. Filled it up pretty much to the brim, few air bubbles coming out, nothing crazy. After the engine warmed up, yep, happy days, the heaters were hot, tank was pretty much full up so put the cap back on. Took it for a drive. Car runs fine, heaters work, car doesn't overheat, however.....The engine temp is VERY low when driving along, pretty much at the bottom. When I got back, I noticed that the fan is kicking in very early when idling, which is not letting the engine temp warm up. Again, no overheating whatsoever, car runs fine. I have just checked the tank again and it has not lost any water. The top rad hose is also fairly hot when driving, but still has a bit of flex in it. Coolant level is fine.

Quick update. Just jumped into the car, switched it on, let it idle up to temparature. This time, everything was normal? Car rose up to its normal operating temparature, when it got slightly high, the fans kicked in as normal, temp went down a bit. Let the temp build up, fans come on as usual, temp went down?? Strange.
