Default loud spooling?

would anyone know if i had a split in my turbo intake pipe (i have ) would it make the turbo (td04) sound louder?....with the cat downpipe on before i could'nt hear it now i can and its well loud sounds like a plane on take off...car 99/00 classic standard if not is my turbo on its way out tho it seems ok no smoke just very loud

it was yeah.....now cat back on.thats when i saw the split in the intake

not sure what your asking here mate, if your asking if it would be louder because of the intake pipe is split then yes, you would hear the turbo spool louder than usual, as i had the same thing on my classic

must be that then.....with the cat downpipe back on it sounds louder than when i had the de-cat pipe on
