Bailey dump valve- modification
Car did not run as it should, I decided the spring on the second piston was too weak. Took valve appart and replaced spring with a stiffer one. Works a treat now. The spring will be found on the thin rod at the vented side of the dumpvalve.
Thought i would post this usefull information for all those running bailey valves that are having running problems.

I am a machinist and have made from scratch many dumpvalves over the years, based on lots of different designs. What your saying about bailey (no "S") dumpvalves is rubbish, ive never had a problem that i could not sort with a little bit of thought.

Baileys are rubbish, if it takes a machinist and a bit of thought to get a 'new one' to work properly then that sort of confirms it.
