hello i went to tightem my handbrake yesterday as it was pointing straight up in the air (pretty much) and once i got all the centre console out and went to tighten it and gave it 1 full turn and the nuts just sprung back to where they was originally i did have the handbrake down and then i used a socket gave it about 4 turns and it just sprung back again is there another method to tighten up the handbrake or am i just being a loser

its on a 2002 wrx bugeye

they are adjustable on the rear hubs, there is a small rubber oval grommet you remove and use a flat blade screwdriver, its the same as a Vectra.
