Are there any fault codes? Has the car been remapped?

Could be one of the coil packs, get a diagnostic done, Had a coil pack go on my STi bug only found which one by disconnecting each coil pack in turn. Then swapping it to anther plug to confirm the fault moved. What a pain to do.

....... The Impreza does not have a choke, cold starts are all mapped into the ECU
