Default induction kit...

again any replies will be appreciated....

2.0i sport (non turbo) the last scooby i had in 2009 had a kit already fitted the one i have now hasn't i personally like the sound it gives of and how it looks compared to the normal box, ive been looking at some on eBay may not be the best place? and not sure how to fit one as mine has like a sensor connected to the air box thing here's the sort of think im looking at ...



maybe someone on here has one for sale ?

I wouldn't bother mate, The ebay specials will be a pain in the **** to fit as it sounds like you have an early model with the 'MAF' sensor in the airbox pipework.

Plus you'll just be soaking up loads of hot air and no doubt loosing power, stick with a non oiled performance panel filter.

your actualy the second person to say that mate shame as the old one i had did look smart and you could hear it in a fashion, whats the performance panel filter ??

Its just a high flow panel filter, Don't get a heavily oiled filter though as it will damage the MAF sensor and they cost big money! I made the mistake of buying an ITG performance panel filter for my wrx, the MAF was broken in months.

Stick to a KnN/Green cotton panel filter or STI panel filter if you can find one, You won't see much gain as an individual but accompany it with other breathing modifications such as exhaust and some nice gains. Don't expect anything outrageous though, and they won't give you much on the sound front either
