i have done an ecu read on my classic terzo turbo and its come up 33 (vehicle speed sensor). The cars speedo had stopped working and the temp gauge was going a little crazy followed by the car going into limp mode which is all expected i believe when this sensor goes down.
Does anyone know the location of this sensor so i can get it changed. Bonus points for a diagram. Searched the forums but could not find anything.
Cheers

The speed sensor is in the back of the clock.
Its actually part of the speedo mechanism inside the clock, so I`d take your clock out and see whats what, the speedo cable is a little pita, but can be done.

cheers mate. I take it another solution is to get a new set of clocks if all else fails and that will rectify? Its a 1997 model. I heard there was a 2 and 3 pin so wasnt sure. Thanks for the reply
Worth looking as I`d assumed it was a cable operation, may be electric.
The sensor is next to the gear oil dipstick if you want to see if its come out.

Just to check, you may have electronic clocks. So there is a sensor on the box that the cable on mine goes in, that the later ones have a sensor to convert it into electrical.

Leave the speedo in place, remove TMIC and look drivers side of the gearbox just to the rear of the gear box dipstick you will see a sensor screwed in. This is a right Shi**y job to do. Minimum you will need to take downpipe off. Sensor costs about £150 from www.importcarparts.co.uk.
One thing to note iirc is there are two variants of sensors, three wire and two wire.

If you have access to a ramp, and remove the downpipe you may have a chance. Subaru do put thread lock on them aswell. When FB tuning did mine, we had the box on the floor and we still needed some heat on it.
