Default N Reg Ra engine problems...bad times help

Hi all
Went over to the ring the weekend just gone car ran fine with no faults at all.
On the way home i noticed a slight puff of smoke and a slight only slight smell of oil.
Didn't think much of it noisy old turbo car well it is 15 year's old.
Well WAS Intending to go to The spa t/day in a couple of weeks time so though i'd get Simon jolly green monster to give it a clean bill of health...
Off i trotted to Surrey rolling road !

Well charlie and simon both stated that's not going anywhere let alone on the rollers but more importantly it would of been a waste of money.

So home with car
Found so far blowing header up pipe to turbo
Turbo has a tiny amount of play but only tiny
Exhaust to turbo Up Pipe is dry apart from the usual Soot.

Headers I also took off and found oil around one of the port's I think the one sits nearest at the back by the turbo !
Looking up in to the port itself you can see the valves It looks to be covered in oil MORE than the usual soot the others have around them..

So car run's fine boosts and on a balanced throttle it doesn't Smoke
Only smokes when you give it a blip and in between gear changes in the lower gears....
I Haven't done a compression test yet....

Tips suggestions and any help would be most great full.
Thanks Craig...

Do a compression test craig, could be a cylinder issue (piston ring).

Have you checked to see what the plugs are like??

Its a shame Craig but I guess the standard ecu + decat + ring = issues

Sounds like ringland

Alternatively it could be a valve stem seal

That would make sense too as it's only one port that's oily.

Oil seal would be my guess. Get a compression test done asap.
