Default Looking for your expert advice?

I have a jap import 95wrx and iv come to find the exhaust note is too quiet for me, I had an Sti v5 2yrs ago and the noise was awesome. I currently have a 3" full system not sure on make, s/s downpipe with tubular s/s headers what u would u recommend to get that loud deep Subaru burble?

I'm also lookin for more power as we all are and need advice on the rite path to take with parts needed. I'm looking for 350ish bhp, will the standard engine/internals, gearbox cope with that power?

Current spec
Standard turbo
Exhaust system as above
Doluck panel filter
Ngk7 plugs

Please help

Nur Spec R and Afterburner centre pipe?. Though you might not need the latter.

I've got a Kakimoto full decat system and it's rediculously loud, though it's on an STi and has two resonators on the centre pipe taking a bit of the bass out making it bit more Jap style.

RCM team ice backbox or a cobrasport racetube if you want an ear shatteringly loud exhaust, The NUR spec is next in line after the above I reckon.

Just remember that you are looking at pushing 350 bhp through a car that is 16 yrs old,and it could end in tears. Why not aim for 300+ bhp ,and you can keep your existing turbo ,just either get a esl daughterboard,or apexi ,simtek ecu, your car should have a 3 port boost solenoid already, induction kit and get a reputable mapper to work his magic. You may even want to consider upgrading your intercooler as the early classics are tiny.
As for a loud exhaust then a blitz nur spec r takes some beating, closely followed by an afterburner vortex,as well as some other systems from cobra,Hks & Haywood & scott, which depending on how loud you want it all offer fairly decent exhaust systems.

A version 1- 3 sti intercooler is still the same size as your std unit you have now, just slightly bigger cores i believe,so no real advantage there imho. I am sure you can fit a later classic intercooler (96/00),but this requires some work as it is a tight fit between intercooler and bulkhead iirc, and your intercooler to throttle body hose may need shortening.
