Default Turbo 2000 aerial

Do the aerials fold down on the UK Turbo Classics? Mine is stuck and I can't get it to move. Just checking if they're meant to be this way before I break it

Yeah, its mounted in the a-pillar. It's an MY00 facelift btw.

I can't get to the aerial from inside either. When I took the a-pillar trim off, there's metal in the way. How can I take it off without losing the radio wire inside the pillar?

Cover it in WD40. especially around the base of the rod that sticks up. Then be a bit more harsh with it.

Once it's working, give it a GOOD clean and WD40 it before putting it away.

I tapped the end of the aerial with a rubber hammer and it finally moved. Didn't have any WD-40 but I put a light coating of multi-purpose oil to keep it moving.

Car looks much better with the aerial down!

I tend to try and remember to extend mine when I clean the car, and give it a really good polishing, finished off ALWAYS with a light wipe of penetrating oil.

Never had it stick yet.
