help with coolant
As I said in a recent post, there are a lot of myths about coolant.
All you need to worry about is: does it contain an anti-corrosion substance/corrosion inhibitor?
And is it suitable for an alloy engine? If the answer to the first question is yes, then so is the answer to the second.
Buy it from a reputable motor factor and ask those questions before buying.
If RE-filling due to loss, DO try to get the same stuff as used before. Mixing types is not a good idea. In fact if you have lost a fair bit, find out why, put it right, then drain and start with fresh.
Please note: the colours vary with brand. There is no "best colour". Mine is fluorescent pink, bought from a factors, mixed 50%, and filled VERY slowly
