Hi,

I want to install a open air filter on my Impreza -09 diesel, and I have a few questions:

- Is this possible, regarding error "codes"??
- Someone says it is not possible on the diesel engines, because they do not have the throttle body as on petrol engines..
- Somone says it is ok to do if I keep the stock AFM

So feel free to guide me into the right choise, open air filter or not??

Sorry for bad english writing

Regards, Daniel.

Hi Daniel,

To be honest with you I don't think you would gain a great deal by doing away with the std Airbox assy and fitting an open induction filter. as you are probably aware the AFM measures how much air is travelling in and at what temperature, maybe just get a good quality panel filter for your airbox like the new Subaru Pro-R filter

Hi Rob,

thanks for the answer! Yes i am aware, i just wanted the "woooop" sound when i put the pedal down But if there's a risk of damage anything, I ain't going to do it! I will check out the Subaru Pro-R filter, and I'll have to live without the sound Maye I will buy the Remus exhaust instead, the one that Subaru have as an option..

Do you know where to get the Remus exhaust from? And what have you ended up doing With the air filter? I have a 09 diesel too just about to get it remapped in a few days.
