Default Overflow cap popping off

Hi, i recently fitted a japspeed fmic on my car along with other mods and had it mapped to over 400 bhp. A smaller overflow bottle was supplied with the fmic kit. I fitted it and all was well until i booted it after the remap. When cruising its ok but as soon as i give it a couple of hard runs it keeps blowing the overflow cap off. I did a coolant change aswell before the remap so it could be airlock related. Has anyone else had this problem or know a way around it?

Cheers

The overflow cap is supposed to have a pinhole in it to help to equalize pressures. Maybe your new overflow cap does not have one?

Do you have any signs of overheating like coolant levels dropping?

Had the same issue mate, they're ****. Get rid of it. That cap will not stop popping off. I even tried a beed of silicon.

Get something like this:

If you go for something like this, let me know and I'll take pictures of mine

It's not the cap thats the problem mate, the bottle they supply is ****. The lip that the cap fits over is half the size as the original subaru one. Thats why it can't fasten down properly and keeps popping off

As above the cap doesn't fit the bottle, I also had issues with the piece of fuel pipe that was supplied which I replaced also.
