Default engine management issues

someone please help:

i pulled away in my wrx sti8 uk spec today and it felt a little lumpy, so i tried to put a small amount of boost through the turbo, when it held back (almost like it had hit the fuel defence cut off kind of feeling) and the engine management light came on. it now feels very weak power wise however idles fine. luckily id only driven it a couple of hundred yards and got it home through fear of damaging something further. any ideas?

apart from backbox, ssqv and air filter it is completely standard.

any help will be greatfully recieved

Andy

Maybe a coil pack.
Same symptoms as mine when coil pack 3 failed.
Called aa and they plugged code scanner in.
Get the ecu fault read and it will tell you.

Maf replaced but now the turbo holds back on boost at around 0.5 bar. Any suggestions?

Proper ecu reset required, laptop job or a "stealer".
