hi i'm struggling to find my restrictor pill on my 2001 wrx bugeye can anyone help as this might be the reason im having boost problems
If i find i dont have one what one will i need and where can i get one from and where do i put it
its a standard tdo4l turbo and standard boost solenoid

MY93-96 ... 3 port solenoid 2.0mm restrictor fitted into the vent pipe between solenoid lower port and intake

MY97 (Euro) ... 2 port solenoid 1.2mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the tee piece

MY97 (JDM) ... 2 port solenoid 0.9mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the tee piece

MY98 (Euro) ... 2 port solenoid 1.2mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the tee piece

MY98 WRX (JDM) ... 2 port solenoid 0.9mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the tee piece

MY98 Sti 4 ... 3 port solenoid 1.5mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the solenoid adjacent to the solenoid top port

MY99 (Euro) ... 2 port solenoid 1.2mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the tee piece

MY99 (JDM) ... 2 port solenoid 0.9mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the tee piece

MY00 (Euro) ... 2 port solenoid 1.2mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the tee piece

MY00 (JDM) ... 2 port solenoid 0.9mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the tee piece

MY01-05 (Euro) ... 2 port solenoid 1.2mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the tee piece

MY01-05 STi ... 2 port solenoid 0.9mm restrictor fitted between the turbo and the tee piece

MY06/MY07 both WRX and Sti 2 port solenoid 0.9mm restrictor between turbo and tee piece


there u go mate, its off another thread but just copied it here, i've just ordered a 2mm one from subaru, it was £8 but have to wait 10 days for it, just call your local dealer they can order you one. and yes it would cause boost issues if you dont have one fitted mate, if you dont wanna do that you can also fit a mig welding tip, they do the same job

@ Shakey seen a few of your threads....your not having good luck with that car are you? Hope you get everything sorted mate, theres some v knowledgeable ppl on here so your doing the right thing.

I think (hope) that the problem is something simple. If Shakey hasnt sorted his problem Ill give him the number of a friend who will be able to have a look when he pops over to me on Fri.

Thanks for the all the help i wont give up as i love the car its got to be something simple and stupid something that i missing .One day soon im going to open that bonnet and it will be ohhhhhh thats why
