Need advice trying to get car on road again
I have a 02 bugeye, last time I drove it was back in January when I took it for a service, so this year its done less than 60 miles, so I thought while Im off work it would be a good chance to give it some TLC and get it back on the road.
As you can imagine the battery is flat, the tyres are flat and the brakes (and handbrake) will be well rusted on.
I tried using the bonnet release switch but the bonnet didnt move
So my first question is does anyone have an idea how I can get the bonnet open so I can get to the battery.
Second question is how best to get the car moving again, and the third question is why did I bother taxing and insureing it in Jan
Any way any help would be greatly appreciated

try n spray WD40 all in round the release mechanism and then keep trying the bonnet release while someone puts presure down on the bonnet
crank it over a few turns with crank sensor disconnected to get a bit of oil circulating around it before actually attemptingto start. blow up the tyres and then just try to drive it out, if the brakes are seized they may just crack/release once you put a bit of force through it
you could actually change the oil to fresh stuff if you want to do it right

Thanks, the wd40 worked a treat. Got the jump leads on and the car started first turn of the key ! I remember now why I never got rid of it, just have to admire the reliablity.
So Im off out again to pump the tyres up and get 8 months off grime off the paintwork.
The oil change is a great idea, Ill do that before I take it for a drive.
Thanks again for both of your inputs
