WRX bug came with 215 BHP and with de-cat, filter, fuel pump can be mapped to a max of about 280 BHP before the TD04 turbo simply runs out of steam.

For more BHP you need to change the Turbo....... how about an Andy Forrest TD04 hybrid if you only want 300 BHP

as above, but also standard injectors will not flow more than 270-280 bhp so thos will need changed too. 300 isnt a great target as its in-between, really 330-350 is a good benchmark if a turbo change and injector change is on the cards imo

Bin the Up pipe too as it has a restrictive cat in it.
With a decent panel filter you should see a comfortable 310 bhp
What about your brakes and suspension ?

I don't think you will get 300 BHP from the TD04 turbo even if you ditch the up-pipe cat.....

Plus a LOT of other things need changed to get over 300, i wouldnt go hybrid td04 personally, even a std td05 16g would be a far better and cheaper option. Ive got a td05 20g that is making full boost (20 PSI) by 3250 rpm

before you start id think what are you going to be happy with 300 soon turns to 350 then you want 400 and so on its addictive and starting with a wrx limits your opsions if you sell yours now a buy an sti prob cost 1500-2000 more now it gonna save you alot of money in the future, and an sti will make 305 with hardly any mods and you will have the brembos, stronger inturnales, stronger gear box,all of which would need to be done on your wrx,in the future and would cost at least 5k using second hand parts, apart from the internals, just some food for thought

it will fit, the only differences are the position of the lambda sensor and ex temp sensor over the years
