Default Re-Mapping after FMIC fitting

Hi,
Very new to ScoobyNet and have spent sometime looking for answer's before posting this thread but still a little unsure!!
I have a 94L sti with a z4 ecu which I have been told has been chipped (unsure when or how long ago) I know I need a motherboard to re-map a Z4 so my question is.. The Fmic has been fitted and is running fine once warmed up properly However on cold start can run a little lumpy (but clears once 1/3 warm) Is a re-map a necessity or can my car cope without 1.. "I appreciate every car is different but your oponion counts" Thanks

if it aint running right, hot or cold, then somethings amiss, get it checked out on a dyno to see what cracking off. first indication somethings wrong coule be the engine self destructing.

when you know what the afr's are doing you'll have your answer.
