The change in aspect ratio might upset the centre diff as the wheels will be turning at different speeds.

No mate def not. ( Here is what Subaru say ) All 4 tires must be the same in terms of manufacturer, brand tread pattern construction degree of wear speed symbol load index and size, mixing tires of different types and degrees of wear can result in damage to the transmission.

FWD doesn't matter. No centre diff to wind up!

I have 175x70 tyres on the front and some came up cheap and brand new for the rear 180x65 so have fitted these surley it should'nt make much difference on a fwd car as its only dragging the rear's behind it

Legally the wider tyres must be at the rear.

Unless you are cornering or are braking to the point where the front's provide more grip than the rear's, then you are spinning. As dunx says, wider tyres for the back. You always want more grip at the rear.
