difference size tyres front and rear
Of the subaru chat, but is it ok to run the same size tyre on the same axel but different size front and back ie fronts 175x70 rear 185x65.
your thoughts please:thumb: |
The change in aspect ratio might upset the centre diff as the wheels will be turning at different speeds.

No mate def not. ( Here is what Subaru say ) All 4 tires must be the same in terms of manufacturer, brand tread pattern construction degree of wear speed symbol load index and size, mixing tires of different types and degrees of wear can result in damage to the transmission.

think there's a missunderstanding i mentioned off subaru chat its on my daily driver an astra 1.6
|
Oh sorry, thought you was talking Subaru :)

FWD doesn't matter. No centre diff to wind up!

I have 175x70 tyres on the front and some came up cheap and brand new for the rear 180x65 so have fitted these surley it should'nt make much difference on a fwd car as its only dragging the rear's behind it
|
Legally the wider tyres must be at the rear.
