Default Td05 implant

Hi I have a wrx import wagon on a 95 v2 I belive it's running around 220 bhp mark I've done the exhaust and now it's time for more power lol I wish to start by getting the power up to the standed salon version witch I belive is 260 on that year ?!! As I have a td04 turbo if I was to change that for a td05 and a ecu from that age of wrx salon would this work no problems ?

a tdo5 and a z4 ecu should see you near 260bhp but i would go for the 6k ecu which is rated as 275bhp and is a much better ecu than the z4

STI and WRX have different heads so no I don't think the STI ecu would be compatable with the WRX. Great price on the TD05 though

Hi Ryan , the ecu will plug straight in, and will work fine, I am fitting a td05 onto my mates wrx wagon today and over the weekend I have tried both a Z4 and a 6k ecu on his car and both worked fine dispite still having the std tdo04 fitted. Admittedly the car held more boost with the 6k over the Z4 which will be the ecu he keeps. Car felt quick dispite having the wrong turbo on, so looks promising when the td05 is fitted this morning

Well got the turbo bolted on and what a difference, yesterday with a 3B ecu and td04 car was hitting 0.7 bar & 0.6 constant . Fitted td05 ,then tried Z4 ecu, car hit 0.9 bar & 0.8 bar constant. Finally fitted the 6K and what a difference ,car hit 1.1 bar and a constant 1.0 bar with midrange pick up a real big improvement and no noticeable lag from the bigger turbo. With the full de cat and the vortex backbox, blitz induction kit & walbro pump I would imagine it would be around 280+ bhp. Just need some 440 injectors to get the best out of it .
