Default Fuel Tank Noise,Rattle???

Hi All

My scoob has developed a loud metallic vibration when my clutch is juddering!!, The noise is coming from the drivers side rear, at first i thought it was the door car-window, but i have been investigating today the noise was coming from underneath behind the rear wheel and it appears to be the fuel tank????

If i thump the tank its very noisy, it only dose it when the clutch judders bad when changing down or reversing..

Hi all


Dose anyone know what could rattle, vibrate inside the fuel tank? The vibration is in the drivers side tank...

I have just been under the car and the tanks seem to be tight and no movement but if you bang it there is a loud vibration...

the only thing that should ne in there is the float and pump. does it make a difference dependand on fuel level

My next step was to fill it right up to check, i haven't had it over half a tank for a while now as I don't do that may miles...

The noice is quite a loud metallic wrattel
