Mapping in warm weather

Mapping in warm weather
I'm about to have map adjustments (with Paul at Zen) following further mods to my 03 STi and was wondering what effect ambient temps have on the mapping process? Is compensation made for above average intake temps during mapping and what effect would there be when the temp. drops? The forcast for the day of mapping is for warm weather (Having said that, N'hants always seems a few degs. colder than down here in Essex!)
Comment from mappers would be welcome!

Surely its better for engine safety and longevity? non? A road car should ideally be calibrated to compensate for the worst case operating conditions, poor RON fuel on a hot muggy day with lots of heat soak into the intercooler.
I mean theorectically speaking, if the car was only setup for running on cold days and wasn't calibrated to compensate for hot muggy days with lots heatsoak etc. Then it could be bye bye engine.
Anyway, the MAF compensates for air temp and corresponding density...thats its job , Knock sensors are there to keep any det under control. So maybe you won't get as much maximum ignition advance and full throttle fuel trim maybe richer (to aid cooler combustion), however I'd be interested to see what others have to say about this.
