Default Turbo advice

Ive got a Td05 16g at the mo, which has mid/top end power but is a bit laggy. Got a chance to get my hands on a vf23, now would that be a better option?
Im not really a pub talk peak bhp figure guy, I like a nice smooth curve with plenty of mid range torque.
Any VF23-ers out there? Really would like to know how good these turbos are and if its ultimately worth swapping one for the TD05.

TD05 16G laggy ?? Who mapped it,what other mods have you got? headers / up-pipe mis matched.......

Not usually considered a laggy turbo, you might want a Hybrid TD-04 or a roller bearing VF34.

I say laggy, Ive come straight from a td04 so its laggy compared to that! and having had to put both cats back on recently for the upcoming MOT doesnt help things...

I just wondered about the vf23 as its roller bearing so is the better turbo? Got a chance to get one off a guy near me with a knocking STi for peanuts, can fit it myself and I can have the map adjusted at RGS.
