Default Oil pressure sensor

Hi, what are you guys doing with the oe pressure switch when replacing with sender for an aftermarket guage?

Is it a simple case of a resistor between the existing cables or just joining them together to stop ecu putting oil pressure light up on the dash.

The oil pressure switch will still be there, it goes into the new fittings on the t piece so will still work as normal.

You need a T type , to split the oil pressure to both the switch and to the sender.

My sender is a direct replacement for the oe unit and has the electrical connection on the top.

All i need to know is what i do with existing unit.

As said above - buy a T-Piece which will screw into the engine block, that leaves you with 2 outlets - one for your oil pressure gauge sender unit and the other for the oe sender unit.
