Default Alarm prob - Clifford 300

I arm the car

A while later I disarm, open door, close door

press button to arm the car, alarm sounds

I then press button to stop (I have left it to 'learn')

Why does this happen

also, when I press to stop, if i re-arm it bleeps several times (to let me know it has gone off) but goes off again when I press to re-arm
so I just leave it and I gather its armed

Any ideas

I had a couple of clifford alarms in the past. My experience was that they are perfect for a couple of years and then they start to play up. One of mine used to just go off for no reason so I always had to set it in valet mode.
Did you also know that you are supposed to have them serviced/checked every year?

Manual state no maintenance required apart from battery replacement.

The alarm does its job but am unsure to the arm / disarm process

My (more) older clifford was very similar but didnt have this issue
