as above are the sti engines same? how much power can they handle with out changing internals ect? I wanna come back to the subaru world but wanna go newage this time with nice strong engine. bored of my s3. cheers rob

some people are running big power on these 2.5 engines. most would recommend not going over 400 hp due to reliability issues.

bugeye and blobeye are 2.0 litre and can handle approx upto 425bhp, hawkeyes are 2.5 litre and are only good for 375 max as have chocolate pistons unless JDM 2 litre ones

no 2 litres but theres plenty running 400bhp on the sti engines as is with decent turbo, supporting mods and map.

Indeed they are a 2.0l but there is many on here running 500+ without any issue's.

I think the only differance in these is a second crank breather?? i think so dont qoute me to it, till some 1 confirms it
