Idle control valve 3pin to 6 pin conversion
Hi all.....
Can anybody help me.....
I have an s-reg wrx classic that I purchased 4 days ago.
The idle control valve was reported as faulty when I got the car.
When I investigated I found out it wasn't even attached!!!!
The idle control valve fitted to my engine is a 6 pin connector but the loom in my car has a 3 pin connector along with an idle control valve not bolted to anything, yes there are 2 lol one bolted to the throttle body and the other older type is floating in the bay. The injection manifold does not have a hole for the ICV to bolt into. I located another complete manifold and the 3pin ICV fits perfectly, unfortunately the 8 mounting bolts do not line up as this manifold has str8 mounting holes where the original ones are at an angle......
I'm worried about this problem as the scooby is now stripped out top end and isn't eating Tarmac as it should be lol.
Help me please scooby gods :0)
Thanks in advance

i was starting to think that it was a newer engine fitted or something?
i will try and post pics to show what i mean..........
you say you have one maybe kicking around?
it needs to have the center mounted coil pack, slanted mounting holes for the 8 bolts and a hole for the yellow idle control valve to mount.....
if u have one , how much please?
